The weekend is close by and it smells like a box of fresh donuts. Maybe it has something to do with my birthday on Saturday. I will need the doughy comfort to soothe me through the rain that is supposed to happen even though it’s MAY!

Attempting a Carrie Bradshaw moment with my prom dress that I have been meaning to donate for years.
After procrastinating for the past few weeks, I finally mustered up the courage to declutter my closet. I have done this many times in the past and each time I am horrified at the sheer amount of clothes and things that I accumulate. This time was no different.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve always had a dependable piece of clothing that felt perfect to me in every way. First, there was this little black velvet dress that I loved and had to wear to the airport when I was two. Then there was this pink and white t-shirt with little flowers all over it that eventually became too cropped, even for today’s standards. And finally, the Hello Kitty jeans that my mom got me from her trip to China when I was in the 5th grade. I eventually outgrew that too, thanks early growth spurt. Happy first day of Spring! What were you most excited to do today? I was ready to embrace today without my scarf and the weight of a million layers. So I did! And immediately, Mother Nature reminded me that she is one bad-ass lady who needs to be taken seriously. So here I am avoiding the cold with a warm cup of matcha from Cha Cha Matcha.
