For as long as I can remember, I’ve always had a dependable piece of clothing that felt perfect to me in every way. First, there was this little black velvet dress that I loved and had to wear to the airport when I was two. Then there was this pink and white t-shirt with little flowers all over it that eventually became too cropped, even for today’s standards. And finally, the Hello Kitty jeans that my mom got me from her trip to China when I was in the 5th grade. I eventually outgrew that too, thanks early growth spurt. Pre-Spring in NYC

My very first outfit post!  Today’s weather was perfectly sunny and windy…typical NYC…can’t have too much of a good thing. Can’t complain too much though since somehow it’s going to snow here tomorrow. As I dream about Spring being an actual season here, I thought about three realistic pieces (separate or pulled together) to consider picking up or taking out of your closet to get you in the mood for warmer weather and longer days even when the forecast says otherwise.
