Fancy White Tee

FullSizeRender_5
I’m back! I’m still getting through a cold so please send healing vibes. Still trying to figure out how this happened since the last few days have been unseasonably warm. Anyway, last night I decided to not pull the sweats out for date night and wore this look instead. I managed to eat 5 slices of pizza in this outfit so I consider it a success.  Continue reading “Fancy White Tee”

For your eyes only

Happy Hump Day!

The weekend is close by and it smells like a box of fresh donuts. Maybe it has something to do with my birthday on Saturday. I will need the doughy comfort to soothe me through the rain that is supposed to happen even though it’s MAY!

Donuts and rainy weather aside, I’ve been feeling really uninspired with my Spring style. The easiest way to pretend like the sun is actually out when it’s playing hide and seek is putting on a pair of sunglasses. It’s the easiest way to talk to the world without saying a word. Monday Blues

crossing the street

I spent this weekend wearing and stretching out my new High Rise Ankle Crop jeans from Re/Done, a company that repurposes vintage Levi’s. I’ve been scoping their site for the last few years and I finally decided to take the plunge. Continue reading “Monday Blues”

Traveling light + Coachella Style Diary

How I travel light:

Check the weather: For Palm Springs and Indio, the weather was 90-100 degrees in the day and a low of 70-80 degrees at night.

Ask myself the following questions:

What will I be doing?

What pieces will look good and feel comfortable for each activity? (Bonus points for pieces I can wear more than once)

What do I need to add to complete the look (bag, shoes, etc…)?

Second guessing something? Don’t bring it.  Continue reading “Traveling light + Coachella Style Diary”

Hiking 101: What to wear, what to bring, and how to have fun

This past weekend, I went on a hike with my husband and our two friends. This was our third time hiking through Anthony’s Nose Trail and only now did I learn that it’s considered a “hard” trail to get through. Beginners have no fear, this was my first trail ever and I managed to get through it. Once you get to the top, you’ll feel accomplished and relieved (until you realize you have to make your way down). Think Clay Jensen (13 Reasons Why from Netflix) when he finally makes his way up the rock and learns the beauty of the “F’ word.

Spring Cleaning + Favorite Outfits

prom dress

Attempting a Carrie Bradshaw moment with my prom dress that I have been meaning to donate for years.

After procrastinating for the past few weeks, I finally mustered up the courage to declutter my closet. I have done this many times in the past and each time I am horrified at the sheer amount of clothes and things that I accumulate. This time was no different.

Here are some of my post-decluttering thoughts/things I need to remind myself followed by some of my recent favorite outfits. Continue reading “Spring Cleaning + Favorite Outfits”
