Monday Blues

crossing the street
I spent this weekend wearing and stretching out my new High Rise Ankle Crop jeans from Re/Done, a company that repurposes vintage Levi’s. I’ve been scoping their site for the last few years and I finally decided to take the plunge.

Shopping for jeans has always been frustrating so I was pleasantly surprised when I put these jeans on and they FIT! There’s a bit of space in the waist but it actually works out because I can EAT. The 5-button fly situation is definitely something to get used to but it’s not a deal breaker. It’s 100% cotton, perfectly heavy weight, and feels so silky.

I prefer to wear them cuffed and they go with basically any shoe situation you can think of. Here I wore it with my trusty Repetto’s, my cherry sweater, and my old Massimo Dutti leather jacket, similar one here and this Zara one that’s under $200. These will be my go-to bottoms till Summer. Patiently (not really) waiting…

I went to a Levi’s store yesterday to scope out the 501 Skinnys. They were so promising online, but the 24 was huge on me. How is the sizing for the re/done styles? They are def expensive, but if they fit really small, it could be worth it for me. Also, did you try them on in person before buying?

The sizing runs pretty true to size. They go on a bit smug initially but then they stretch out with wear and I think they start at a size 23 on re/done-they have great customer service so if you order one and need a different size they do free returns and exchanges 👍🏼
