(Photo from last weekend. No makeup and no face tuning.)
As I was heading to the airport for my Spain trip (~3 weeks ago), my skin was not in good shape. My chin was red and irritated, and there was nothing I could do to hide it. BUT THEN by some miracle, my skin got better during the 8 hour flight. This never happens to me. I always make my exit off the plane with a shiny new whitehead.
So after I landed and fought off the jet lag with an espresso and a super cold shower, I successfully did my quick and minimal cover up routine and confidently headed out to dinner. And that was the first and last time that I wore makeup that week. A true skin miracle!

So how did I get to this happy skin place? Let me introduce you to…
My daytime skincare squad
(L-R) Derma E Purifying Gel Cleanser: if you’re looking for something that gets the job done, is cruelty free, pH balanced, has no sulfates or fragrance, you might want to give this a go. // No7 Men Energising Eye Roll-On: obviously not for acne but I share/steal this from my husband. We keep in the fridge so it soothes and wakes up the under eye area. // The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% : it’s the most cost-effective product ($5.90!) and a total skin game changer. I am 99% sure that my skin cleared up so quickly because of this serum.
(L-R) Whamisa Organic Flowers Toner: I have raved about this hydrating toner in a number of previous blog posts. Hydrating enough for the Palm Springs desert. Gets a 10/10 from me. *Edit on July 20, 2017: Now that it’s summer, I do a few layers of the toner until my skin feels hydrated enough, skip moisturizer, and go right to my sunscreen* // Make P:rem Safe Relief Cream: You need just a little bit for the most soothing and hydrating application. My husband who does not like trying new skincare things fell in love with this moisturizer. // Make P:rem Capsule Sun Gel: Best face sunscreen I’ve ever used. No chalky sunscreen feel and goes on so seamlessly. This hydrating formula makes it so easy to wear sunscreen everyday.
Hopefully this post was helpful and not filled with too much rambling. Knocking on wood now that I didn’t just jinx my skin by writing this post.
See you in my next post!
