Weekend style: It’s still sweater weather

Mother nature was supposed to bring us some snow this weekend. But we totally “lucked out”. Granted, it’s spring. So really, mother nature is testing our patience. So far, she’s winning by giving us strong winds and chilly temps. While I don’t mind putting on a sweater, I hate that I still need a winter jacket. I could complain on and on. But I will stop right here, and go right into my weekend looks.

Saturday’s look

Activity:

Vadim and I spent the day at our friends’ apartment catching up with wine and comfort food.

Outfit:

I wore my trusty J.Crew long sleeve tee (in size xs) underneath my new Dôen cardigan (I sized up to a medium). I like that it’s cropped and boxy. I never want to feel restricted in my clothes. The one thing I will say about this cardigan is that the voluminous sleeves make it hard to wear a jacket over it. Luckily, my winter jacket has roomy sleeves so that’s not too much of a problem. It is the only jacket that I will be able to wear with it though. Not a big deal but definitely something to take into consideration.

I completed the look with my EVIDNT cropped jeans (in size 25) and Vans slip-on sneakers. I think I might need insoles for comfort since they’re not very supportive. I’ve had them for about a year and a half, and I think I might be falling out of love with them. They’re getting a bit boring for me. Or maybe I’m just in the mood for flats and sandals?

Would I wear this again?

Yes. But I would rather it be warm enough for me to wear this look with my Repetto flats.

Sunday’s look

Activity:

Vadim and I walked to the library to return some books before visiting his family. I finally got to check out “The Year of less”! Can’t wait to read it and gain some insight for my upcoming shopping ban. Also, now that I’ve talked about my shopping ban so much, there’s no chance of me backing out. Which is a good thing!

Outfit:

I was in a hurry so I just put on whatever was casual and dependable. That meant my Everlane sweater (in xs) and AGOLDE  jeans (in size 24/definitely go down one size in these). I decided to go with my Vans because I wore them the day before. And, they’re just easy. Once again, I wish I was wearing my flats instead.

Would I wear this again?

Yes! This is my default, get dressed in a minute outfit.
