I got my wedding dress shortened! (Funny story included)

I am so glad I finally checked this off my mental to-do list. The tailor really brought my vision to life.Β To be honest, I was a bit nervous. I contemplated keeping the dress in its original length for memories sake. But the practical side of me kicked in, and helped me see that I could add more memories by shortening it and wearing it on special occasions i.e. anniversaries, birthdays, garden parties (probably not this). Good thing it didn’t turn out to be a disaster!

Now for the funny story…

Maybe you’ve already noticed from the photos, but I totally forgot to put tinted brow gel on my left brow. I don’t know how I overlooked this detail! I didn’t notice all day until I got home and decided to take a selfie because the golden hour lighting was so good. I was pointing out to my husband as we were taking these photos, that something was off with my face but I couldn’t tell what…Well, now the mystery is solved.

I was pretty bummed and contemplated re-shooting this look. But honestly, I think it probably worked out just the way it was supposed to. It’s a good reminder for me that everything can’t be “perfect” all the time and sometimes you just gotta roll with a half done eyebrow look.

Hopefully this was entertaining πŸ™‚

Thanks for stopping by and I’ll see you in my next post!

I love that you altered your wedding dress! Otherwise, wouldn’t it just be taking up space in your closet?

Also, totally didn’t notice the eyebrow thing until you pointed it out!

Exactly! Especially since it was relatively easy to do πŸ™‚ haha thanks…it was just subtle enough to slip through my eyes too
